Dear Marc-Antoine
What an exciting couple of weeks!
Thanks to you over 200,000 people have seen The Story of Cosmetics and thousands more have joined the fight to make personal care products safe and healthy for everyone by contacting their Representatives about the Safe Cosmetics Act of 2010. We are totally thrilled!
There has been an outpouring of support for film since we released it-from cancer survivors and salon workers who've been harmed by chemical exposures on the job to green business owners grateful we raised the debate about toxic chemicals in the stuff we rub on our bodies every day, to parents and many others glad to have a tool to help explain their concerns to neighbors and friends.
While we've really turned up the volume on this issue, we want even more people talking about these toxic products, watching the film, and taking action to support meaningful policy change.
Today, Annie and Stacy Malkan from the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics have a blog up on Huffington Post explaining why we made The Story of Cosmetics and why chemical policy reform is urgently needed.
You can spread the word by checking out their blog post, offering a comment in support and posting a link to Huffington Post or The Story of Cosmetics site on your Facebook or Twitter.
If you haven't seen the film yet, today ought to be the day. Please take a few minutes and watch The Story of Cosmetics and then take action to support the Safe Cosmetics Act of 2010.
Thanks again for helping spread the word and proving once again just how awesome this community is!
Sincerely,
Annie, Michael, Renee, Christina, and Allison The Story of Stuff Project Team
